From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee
when my heart is overwhelmed
lead me to the rock that is higher than I

Peak to Peak Trail and Wilderness Links

I have always held the contention that most people (individuals to countries) dig their own holes for themselves out of stupidity, ignorance, gullibility, and above all, weakness. They end up reaping what they have sown and ultimately get what's coming to them. I have very little sympathy, which is why I don't give much to human charity or causes.

But the animals are innocent. They have very little freedom or choice, very little power to save themselves from the abuses of humankind, everything from bozo hunters, circuses and rodeos, (so called) scientific research, pet abuses, staged animal fighting, fur farming, etc. etc.

Noone can change the world, and every animal cannot be helped or saved, but every little individual effort can help. Why not join and give a few $ to the Humane Society of the United States or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals?

And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.
Also the cow and the bear will graze,
Their young will lie down together,
And the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra,
And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den.
They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.

(Isaiah 11:6–9)
